Tip 9

Expect good customer service.  If you show up for your first meeting and you are left waiting for an hour, it is probably not a good sign.  Your lawyer should respect your time.  Make sure each of you is clear about your expectations for communication.  If you call when can you expect a call back?  If you email when can you expect a reply?

  6. This is definitely an important attribute one should look for when hiring a lawyer. Nothing is more frustrating than a lawyer who won't return calls and who doesn't respect their clients time. I think it is a good idea to meet with a few lawyers before choosing one to work with. This helps one gauge if they will have good customer service. http://www.micheaulaw.com/services.html

  9. Sheryl, I agree that a lawyer needs to respect your time. It wouldn't be good to leave a customer waiting for an hour at a time. It is also important to be concise and timely with any communication. https://whistleblowerjustice.net/whistleblower-info/choosing-the-right-whistleblower-lawyer/
